Tbh this whole experience has kind of turned me off to all of wacom’s products and I’m thinking of switching over to an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. Check and compare if all the functions are working as expected: Pen troubleshooting / Touch troubleshooting / ExpressKeys. check the LED Status table to see what to expect with your customer's device. the status LED, the power LED, bezel icons etc.

My CC2 is 4 years old so maybe that’s why but I also hate that you can’t switch out the ram or upgrade the graphics card because opening the case violates the warranty and Wacom doesn’t even offer an upgrading service for their pen computers. Check the LED/s for the expected response. I kinda think Wacom is just not as good at making standalone tablet computers as they are at making pen displays. I’ve heard a lot of similar complaints from people who have a CC2 and want to use photoshop. What’s funny is that my bf connected his Intuos to my Cintiq companion and there wasn’t any brush lag in photoshop so I’m pretty sure it’s something wrong with the tablet itself. The only thing I haven’t tried is backing up my documents and doing a hard reset and reinstalling everything but that would take way too long. I even went in the task manager and set photoshop to real-time priority. turning off rulers, turning off windows ink. I have tried literally every single thing under the sun to fix this brush lag: basic drawing mode not advanced, graphics card on and off, reducing cache and history, reducing document size.

I have an intel i7-5557U CPU GHz 64 bit OS. I have a 256 HD with 8gb of Ram and I’m only using 107 GB of it. I have tried literally every single thing under the sun to fix this brush lag: basic drawing mode not advanced, graphics card on and off, reducing cache and history, reducing document size. Does anyone else have trouble with abysmal brush lag in photoshop with their Cintiq Companion 2? When I connected my CC2 to my desktop tower it performed beautifully but as a standalone tablet computer it has HORRIBLE lag but oddly this is only in photoshop, flash and illustrator is fine.
